Didn't Phyllis rundown Christine with her car? Did anyone ever find out it was her? Is she all reformed now? I think the whole Jack & Sharon thing is weird. Whatever happened to Jack's asian family? Didn't he have a son & daughter from Vietnam? I know the wife died, but there's no more asians on Y&R...

That's right, the daughter had a different father. Things are fuzzy, I haven't watched much over the last few years. I don't think it's as diverse as the show could be whether with asians, african american, or any other nationalities... there are tons more that could be represented, but I'm asian so... :-) Anyway, Kimo went back to Vietnam, did the daughter go too? What happened to her after her mother died? Did Jack just abandon her or did she leave town? Do you think the details about Phyllis' past will catch up with her when it's least convenient or do you think they've washed it under the rug for good to change her character around? Do you think they wil ever have older women folling around with younger men instead of these older men with the younger women?

Jack's son Kimo went back to Vietnam to live in a jungle.
Kimo has a half sister.
There are Asians, we have Jin min and doctor, and one of Nikki's campaign managers is mixed Asian.
I think there should be more blacks in the show...
Actors who played Dru, Neil, Lily, and Devon are half white in real life...
so Olivia was the only fully Black person on the show...
but oh well...
We really need to bring back blacks in the show.

There is an Asian man on Y&R right now. He's the character that is the front man for Jack since Jack isn't supposed to own Jabot anymore. Ji Men, or something. Anyway, I'm a bit bothered by Y&R right now since it appears that they just killed off Nicholas in a plane crash! Never saw that one coming. And yes Jack did used to have a child with an Asian woman, completely forgot about that. Wouldn't it be really deep if Ji Men was him? After all you know how they do, one day a child is a baby, then the next thing you know, they're all grown up after a period of absence and you're watching wondring who they are and then it's revealed. I think that Jack also had a child with Paul's sister long ago. I really don't remember if Phyllis ran over Christine though. If you want to discuss more Y&R, feel free to e-mail me. Yes, she did run Christine down with her car. No, I don't think Phyllis is reformed, the harder she tries to stay out of trouble, the more she gets into. Kimo went back to Vietnam, don't know what happened to the daughter. There is one asian, Ji Min.
Someone asked if they are going to kill Nick off, no they're not, he will come back, he just signed a new contract. I think he just might go missing for a little while.

Yes - Phyllis did do that to Christine (I never liked Chris's character anyways); Jack & Sharon (yeah I don't buy that either); Yes Jack had a son from Vietnam; There is an asian on now (the guy who pretended to be the owner of Jaboe).
Do you think that Nick is really dead? I hope not - the show needs him.

Phyllis tried to rundown Christine but Paul jumped in front of her, he was seriously injured. And no, they never proved it was her so she was never punished. I think she tries to do the right thing these days but doing the wrong thing is usually easier and gets her what she wants.
I'm not positive but I think Jack's son Keemo went back to Vietnam, Jack never mentions him (or his son Kyle). Luan's daughter had a different father.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I don't think they ever found out it was Phyllis that hit Christine. And the whole Jack/Sharon thing is too sick for words. I mean, Jack was stepfather to her ex. And yeah, Jack's got a kid overseas that he doesn't even ask about anymore. At least Victor checks on his kids occasionally.

Yes, there should probably be a little more diversity on the soaps, but I think they go by the audience and asians aren't known for watching soaps...
Y&R has a good blend of characters, the Winters are black, Ji-Men is asian and handsome and rich, Victor is obviously european with that cool accent and he's the most powerful, and Nicky is blonde and white, but don't forget where she came from. Brad too for that matter, he started off a pool boy and my mom tells me that they used to portray him as more hispanic than white. I guess now that he's an executive, he's more white, which does correspond to real life, if you think about it? ...Y&R is the only soap worth watching. Good story lines and easy to follow, with realistic events.

Not only did she run her down she got in bed with her husband Paul while they were on vacation. I think we're talking around 1995 here. Everything about her got found out that's why she lost her son. Jack's son moved away. They never talk about him or his other son Kyle that he had with Diane. Ji Min Kim is Asian. I think he's from Korea.
