No one memorizes functions; functions are just rules that tell you what to do with an input (x) and are usually given as part of the problem. You must be asking about properties of certain functions, which I can't help you with if you don't tell me which functions.

Depending on the function, it might be best to try and understand where it comes from and why it is the way it is. That way you don't have to memorize you can figure it out quickly during the test.

Or try writing it out many times. Then try writing it from memory a while later, check it, if you couldn't write it perfectly write the correct function out some more and repeat until you have it memorized.

just remember x is what you input in the function and Y is what you get out when you input X.

so X= input
Y= output
