Hey fools...you who are being mean in anwersing...they came out of a basement...I haven't even wore them yet...but would like to...so my feet are clean, wash them eevery day!

You need to kill the spores with a specialist mold killer for leather. Em clean would do the job. If you do not kill the spores the mold will just keep coming back and the smell will remain.

1] clean with saddlesoap
2] Spray insides of boots with unscented Oust or Febreze.
Stand about three feet away to mist outsides.
3] After dry, stuff with newspapers for 24-48 hours Keep doing this after wearing until smell no longer comes back

Spray the insides with 99% Isopropyl Alcahol. Let them evaporate, do it a couple of cycles. Don't use the commonly diluted 70% stuff.

Try Lexol Leather Cleaner, or Saddle Soap.
