No...he would have to be dead. But if you are looking for an alternative to ex-husband you could use former husband, previous husband, quondam husband or onetime husband.

If you say your "late husband" Americans, at least, will think you mean he is dead. Which among a group of friends could be an amusing use of the word.

Late husband means he is no longer alive - ex-husband means divorced - former husband is okay for divorced also.

Baby, you need to find another husband. The problem is not you and your question is not the real issue. Your husband does not respect you, or your feelings and is indeed either psychotic or an idiot. Please move on and find someone worthy of your affection. As far as what the statement means, she is hot and is probably sexually prowess. But that still does not matter, find another man dummy! It is obvious he has found or is looking for another woman.

I'm sorry but what the hell is wrong with you? He "went back to her many times over 6 months" and you kept his sorry ***? Pull yourself together and leave him! Have you no respect for yourself? Who cares if he is stalking her...he is obviously a crazy loon over her. How do you know he has been watching her? Have you been stalking him or is he actually telling you this crazy stuff. Go seek therapy soon for yourself!

Late always refers to someone who has died, NOT to former as in someone you divorced.

You might wish he was dead, and it can sometimes be fun to pretend, I'm sure, but unfortunately, unless you want to give someone the impression that he is your dearly departed, you should just refer to him as "that lowlife @#%!"

(unless you decide that it really IS healthier to take the high road, and then you can just call your ex, or by his name). :)

you could say my latest husband but still this does not conotate him being your ex so your best bet is to say my ex-husband....as late would make him dead
