the tingle causes a temporary burn. So yes, even though you are tan - you will burn. Depending on how much "tingle" is in the product you use will depend on how long you will remain burn (before it goes to tan) and how intense the burn is.
So beware of where you put it as it WILL cause you to be burned for at least 2hrs. Also, you may want to decrease your time in the bed a couple minutes as it will actually start in the bed. You may also want to ask the person for a low level tingle before you try the intense variety. Believe me - its a new experience & you will be uncomfortable.
Tingle temporarily increases the blood flow to the area applied which causes the temporary burn. When the tingle wears off - your left with a tan.
I use it on my legs when I tan & remain "burned" for 2-3hrs.
