I've tried meds like pamprin and motrin, and they do nothing for me. 800 mg of Ibuprofen only works so long before I'm popping more. I remember an old friend getting something that was sold as over-the-counter, but still kept behind the pharmacy counter - but so far nobody knows what that is. Suggestions?

If 800mg of Ibuprofen is not working you should see your doctor. There are some prescription NSAD's that for some people work better than Ibuprofen. You may also have endometriosis if you are having that much pain.

EXCEDRIN. Is what works for me. But like anything in a few hours you will have to take more. But to top the Excedrin is my birth control. I had terrible cramps until I started taking birth control. (I don't know if birth control is an option for you).

Ibuprofen/Naproxen are the best. You should start taking them a day or two before your period. They don't work as well if you take them when you start to feel symptoms.

Just Midol. Most doctors will try and perscribe you something more helpful, so visit your doctor if it's still unbearable.

If you can find it, look for a drug called Emegrin Forte. My wife swears by it.
