don't bother with a pregnancy test, at least not the home variety. Anyone taking birth control pills, will test positive every time, whether they are pregnant or not. Birth control pills work by fooling your body into thinking you are pregnant so no more eggs are produced. Spotting anytime, whether on the pill or not, is not all that unusual. Unless you develop other symptoms like breast tenderness morning nausea etc, you are likely not pregnant. But if you want to be certain, you will need to go the doctor's office and have the blood test, the urine test will not work.

you should have a test, just to make sure, but i had the same problem once, as well and it was from the b/c pills. sometimes they do it, though nobody says so. my doctor told me and i changed pills. but i don't want to freak you out, ask you doctor and if you want have a test before to have the result for him ready.

Some women have occasional spotting while on the pill. Some women have spotting when they ovulate.

Wouldn't miss too much sleep on this one hun.
