Glue traps help catch the lil' buggers but nothing works better than getting a cat or two. The rats or mice smell the cat(s) and immediately evacuate.

rat poison. Any local feed store will have several different kinds. Choose the one that is left IN the small pouches and just tossed where you need it....make sure other pets cant get to it. Some kinds will even make it so the dying rats wont stink up the house should they die in the walls or something.
Good luck!

The best thing i would do is to set traps wherever you see their droppings. Seal up all the places where they can get to food and water, once they cant get what they need from your home they leave. I had a problem for awhile with rats in my home I nearly lost it lol

Rat poisoin ,but remember that when they eat it it dehydrates them so they will look for any water they can get to ,but as soon as they drink it they will die.So make sure you have no standing water or they will die inside your house and stink if you don't find them.
