I guess what I'm getting at is we are told to be tolerant and accepting of so much in life, whether it be a certain religion, or lifestyle, or political view. But is it reasonable, or even possible, to be so accepting and tolerating of just about everything? What if one person or whole segments of society don't agree with something that they view as wrong because it violates some social norm or shared value? Is it wrong to disagree with anyone these days?
Because it seems that if you hold a contrary perspective or opinion on some matter that "everybody else" accepts or tolerates, you make of yourself a target who stands alone and take the cruelest criticisms possible. It appears that the ones who extol the virtues of tolerance and acceptance, in this context, become the most intolerant. Have you experienced this?

Not true. Look at slavery. Look at the Holocaust. Look at what the pilgrims did to the Native Americans. People can and do tolerate a lot. However, by definition accepting is different. To tolerate means to endure or resist. To accept means to welcome willingly. So people do not accept anything but they do tolerate a lot.

To what?

You are describing nihilism. I am very close to what you are describing if not completely there.

Life has no meaning or value, if one dies or millions die, it makes no difference to the universe. Every human dies.

I don't think it's even possible to exist in that state of mind.

That frame of mind does not exist. Everyone has limitations.
