I was just curious since my friend told me about this and she wondered if it is legal... if so.. its NOT FAIR!

Just for the record she did talk to her "boss" and her regional manager and neither could give any explaination. This place she works at really needs to be looked at but OSHA!

The link below is to th IN department of labor, on that site I located a wage dispute form your friend could fill out and send in with supporting documentation.
I would have her question her supervisor 1st and make sure that there wasn't just some kind of accounting mistake before I went any farther.
Contact your local labor board if it wasn't just a simple mistake.

I would have to guess that this is not legal. You would have to consult state labor laws to make sure.

notice MUST be given... check state labor laws... even "at will" employess MUST be given notice of change of pay rate
