If your parents are providing your financial support, paying for your car, paying for your gas, or paying for your insurance, then yes you should. Otherwise, it is purely your business and do as you like.

yes you should, I am assuming that they are paying your insurance and providing transportation whether by giving you money for gas or allowing you to drive the car. Even if you own the car yourself you should tell them. Insurance may go up and they will find out somehow, so come clean and tell them it will be easier to do it now than later.

A man owns-up for his mistakes. Listen, they'll find out anyhow -- a few ways. The ticket gets mailed, as does correspondence to their names.. and even if you own the car (which I doubt), my bet is that your Auto Insurance is under their name.. meaning, they will know sooner or later. Tell them sooner, and relay your being a little unfocused at the time.. about something that can hurt you really, really bad physically (speeding). Take it as a lesson learned.

I don't need to tell you all that crap about honesty and truth coz you already know that but I just wanna say that when you tell them they will pretend that they're angry because that's what has to be but deep inside they would be happy that their son or daughter got his or her first ticket!

Only if they are paying for the car and insurance. If not, then it's your responsibility. Take care of it!

Only if it impacts them. For instance, if you are on their insurance, or live at home and will receive mail from the DPS regarding the incident.

Yes, because if they pay the insurance, you don't want them finding out when the bill comes.

If you're on their car insurance policy you should tell them since their premiums might go up.
Otherwise it's up to you.

I would, it'll come out eventually, especially if you are on their insurance. Their rates are probably gonna go up and they'll know anyway.
