You're right. It's also not an impossible task to hit the capital key once in a while either.

Funny stuff, I know what you mean. This whole text messaging and IM has gotten people trying to write/speak faster by minimizing their words. No wonder some people these days have trouble spelling words, they can't even pronounce them right at times. Spellcheck has sure gotten a lot of use from all this, cause people just can't seem to be able to write right any more. So yeah, it is annoying.

Certain words are ok to abb. however I think its gone to the extreme that most of the time nobody knows what your saying!! Wit is actually a word so using it for with is wrong try w/ !! Or WTF! Most people know what that means and its not as offensive as spelling the whole thing out! By the way LOL is laugh out loud and ttyl is talk to you later. Theres a proper way to do it so everybody understands!!

It's got to do with "instant gratification" which everyone seems into these days... as nothing can be fast enough anymore and everyone needs to get everywhere yesterday as opposed to enjoying and living in the "here and now"... God only knows what it is that they expect to find over there!!! always thinking that the grass is greener over there!!! and not realizing that once they get "over there", they will look back and notice that it was "greener" there! and is now not so green here... and on it goes!!! as an eternal quest for happiness which seems to forever elude them... as the only place one can ever find it now is if they learn to appreciate and value the "NOW" they are in, right "now". In my case, right now, it happens to be to do the best that I can do, in writing every single word as perfectly well as I can and in using my brain and heart to do the best that I can with every letter, comma, thought and message which, I figure, if it is worth doing at all, is worth doing well... Or else why bother? The other thing I keep in mind always, no matter if I am washing the dishes, cleaning the toilet or making a meal, is that if I do all that I do, as though to God Himself, it is He Himself, who will bless me (in secret) as I do all of these things as to please Him and not often ungrateful men, who would rather have their ears tickled more often than not, than to have to do any sort of real digging for anything worthwhile! I will be back in a bit... should any other great point come to mind! as your question raised quite a few points in my mind but something else needs my attention for a bit!

I absolutely hate that. I hate those people who write or say things like 'wit' 'dat' etc. What a sign of unintelligence.

I do. I hope it doesn't reflect the level of intelligence these people possess or the world is in more serious trouble than I thought!

Yes, and people who start out a sentence with OH MY GOD are annoying as hell too.

I agree completely.

Those who do this are showing just how ignorant they are. I also agree with the person who said that capitalization needs to be used. And please, stop using the phrase, "oh my God."
