Hey! We’re in the same boat!! I wanna perform, and I’d do anything to be on a stage every night or in a movie anything just so long as I'm doing something I love. I know you don't say mention drama school but I don't see what not I 'm 16 and I'm gonna take Performing arts at A level but I’ve also got a Grade 5 distinction in Performing Arts because I go to a drama school on Saturday mornings. We’re currently rehearsing for a stage performance of "High School Musical" and because we're one of the first to do that DISNEY ARE COMING TO TALENT SCOUT one of the shows. *Gulp* that would be my suggestion JOIN A DRAMA SCHOOL and (something I'm thinking of doing) sign up to a casting agency. I’ve put the link below but I think it’s too far if you live in North Lincolnshire so I’d try somewhere local. What do you intent to do after college? I‘m gonna get a Performing Arts degree at LIPA hopefully but I’m more musical theatre you sound like a film girl. To summarise: Join a casting agency.

The only ethical thing to tell a new actor is that their chances of making it in the business are slim.
OK, that said;
If you choose to try to go with agents, don't pay them up front. There are plenty of agents who will take your money and then deliver nothing; if that's your idea of a deal, then I'm your agent, pay me! LOL! And watch out for agents who don't take money themselves, but require you get your photo package done from their good friend the photog who charges ten times as much as anyone else (and then slips half of it back to said agent).
No, only go for agents who will take a percentage.
Depending on where you're at, you might want to start studying acting (dance, voice, other skills) in professional studios. A few workshops with the RSC would put you in the network of professionals, and you could make acquaintance with people who could help your career.
But all in all, producers don't like 15-year-olds. They'd rather have a 26-year-old who looks and can act like 15; fewer worries about child labor restrictions, etc. If they do hire a 15-year-old, you'd be competing with those who have already been doing film and TV since age 3--and experience counts.
Try if you will--do so intelligently and beware the sharks!--but don't let your education lapse. It's the long route but it will get you there more certainly.

Hold on Veruca... Unfortunately, most people can't just say they want it now and get it. For most people, it takes time, dedication, skill, talent, money, support, etc. Do you live in Los Angeles? If not, that's really where you need to be if you want to make it happen NOW. That's where most casting takes place. There are some concentrations in other places, but really for film and tv... that's it. You need your parents to support you 100%. They have to pay for pictures, take you to get an agent, drive you to all those auditions, get you an acting coach unless you're truly so naturally talented that you don't ned one, pay for workshops and classes... there's a lot of work to be done. It very rarely just happens instantly.
That being said, if you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to Sag.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions. You can look up agents all over the US, but there are higher concentrations where the work is (Los Angeles, NY, IL, FL, GA etc.)
Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview.
Once you have an agent, they will get you the auditions, but until then you can check out actorsaccess.com. For theatre, which can be a good place to exercise your acting muscles, you can go to backstage.com or http://www.actorsequity.org/castingcall/... If you find the audition on the Equity site, you still may be able to go, as long as their not taking appointments from equity actor's only :-) On backstage.com you have to pay to get all of the info, but the initial search is free and you may be able to see enough info to find out the rest on your own without paying OR you can go to your local bookstore or newsstand and look at their print publication (new every Thursday) for free.
PS - Don't sell yourself short on an education. Many actors leave the business to go to college, even if they return to it later. They do find education valuable.
Good luck!

When we want something in life you have to gain it to receive it, you said you going drama school in September, why don't you get some experience first to build your profile to show agents what you capable of, if that's your dream to become an actress start from the bottom and you will reach the top. If would be nice if things we want could just fall on our laps!!!.

Well your best bet is to join some kind of drama group! Most people who end up on TV/film/stage usually find out about auditions etc through their drama/theatre group!! Just doing a performing arts course at college is not going to get you far!! When going to auditions they are not interested if you have a qualification in performing arts - they want you to demonstrate that you can actually perform!! They want evidence that you have been in plays/shows/etc. This kind of experience only comes from joining a drama/theartre group I am afraid!! because that is the first place you are going to find out about auditions. Speak to your drama teacher at school - they should be able to steer you in the right direction!!
Look at most hollywood stars, and TV stars - they all started out performing in small plays and gradually worked their way up!

Study acting in college. If you can get into a good school like Yale Drama School or Julliard then half of the work will be done. You could also enroll in the Actor's Studio if you have that kind of money.

Where do you live? If you live in a big city, you can look for casting calls for extras in movies. This could help you get on the set and see what movies are all about. For instance, the new Batman movie is coming to Chicago. They had a call out for extras last week. Details where on the Chicago Film Office website.

Yes, you'll need to get an agent. You'll also need some excellent head shots and 3/4 body shots. Contact a photography class and maybe they'll do free shots for you in exchange for you modelling for them.
You need a great friendly outgoing personality.
You need experience...audition for community plays.
You also need talent!
You say you want it now but that's not up to you. You certainly can try for parts right now but it could take years.
That said, you also need lots of patience.
Good luck.

I'd sign up as an Extra. There are a few agencies that will give you work. Just Google and you will find them. It's a stepping stone to acting.
