put the pictures in to a seperate folder. If you are using iTunes 7.1, attach your iPod to your computer. When the iPod is recognized by iTunes, click the photos tab at the top of the iTunes window. Click the box by sync photos and select sync all photos or select sync selcted photos. If you select sync selected photos, click the boxes by each folder youy want to sync. Once you are done, click apply near the bottom of the window.

I would not advise putting photos/pictures onto an iPod nano, as it would take up too much memory, and the screen size is not ideal...If you wish to have the pictures as song cd covers, simply open the folder for your pictures, and drag a picture into the "artwork display" box in the bottom left-hand corner of iTunes. The picture will appear with the song details on the iPod when you play that certain song. Otherwise, enable your iPod for disk use, go into 'my computer', select the iPod, then drag your picture files into the 'Photos' folder...

you would actually be quite suprised at how little space the pictures take up! i have an ipod nano and i have over 400 pictures on there and it takes up a very small portion of memory! but what you have to do is when you plug in your ipod itunes should pop up and you click on your ipod (to the left in the toolbar-like-thing) and when it comes up in the big screen there should be tabs towards the top, click on the one that says pictures and select which folders you want to have on there.

You link a folder with pictures in iTunes. I think it's under edit / preferences / iPod.
