It is an interesting conundrum...change is the only constant. And the differences we are is dependent upon ourselves. So with all in flux, even the mildest form of discrimination just doesn't make sense and will die of attrition, when no one gives it energy.

I think there are two parts to this. First, the racism displayed here. It is easy to shoot your mouth of here, protected by the anonymity of the net. Then, racism is endemic. It is a feeling of them and us. 'They' look different so I don't like them. And the socially inept get a feeling of 'belonging' with others, i.e. other racists, because that is the only way they can belong and relate to other humans.
The second, is the race card. It is not just race, it is any reason to shift the blame for your own failures onto someone else or some reason. Race works nicely as does where you were born, or your parents failures or everyone is out to get you.

I'm just tired of racially geared questions. Why? Beause if you tried using the option that allows you to search for questions, you will see that the majority of the questions asked, have been asked 5 or 6 times.
The racists already know better. They are simply using yahoo as a way to spread filth and negative stereotypes. Asking questions like this only promotes that kind of activity.

I'm just sick to death of having to worry about race. It's getting so old, I mean, who really cares anymore. At my job, I have a mix of all races as clients and if I need to describe the person to a co-worker, I honestly can't remember if they were black, white or hispanic.
Come ON people, racial bigotry is dead and has two feet in the grave. It's time to do the decent thing and let it lie down.

I agree! I am 57, and some of this stuff on here sounds like 1958! It is just sad.
Of course some people have stirred things up for their own reasons, both white and black.
The media plays a big part in making color a more major difference than it should be.
If there is trouble once, they make it seem like it happened 1,000 times!

i think this is so true i mean i am 7 differnt nationallities. And its not only just black and white its asians and hispanics to. I think everyone needs to cut the racism bull and just be the best person you can be. If god (or whatever you believe in) only wanted ppl to be one color then it would be that way! Not one color or race is superior then the other. we are all equal. we bleed the same color. and we go through pretty much the same situations. So just stop being ignorent!

You don't even know the definition of "race card". You're just complaining about racism. To play the race card is to use someone else's racism as an excuse for your own faulty actions, ala OJ.

I agree. People need to stop acting ignorant and start thinking of a way to actually solve the problems that we have in the world. Blaming people of this or that ethnicity or religion is not getting us anywhere. It is holding us back.

I feel the same way at times. I get tired of people who say that things happen because of the color of their skin but never try to apply themselves.
