With the high degree of apathy in this country, nothing. Look, close to 50% of the eligible population to cast votes for President of the United States don't care, so I do not see a second civil war in our future. To quote from MIB: People are dumb, the individual is smart. Not enough people care one way or the other about the state of things in the U.S. to start a Civil War about any issue nowadays.

Nothing for now. It is hard to predict 50-100 years or more though.
As the US loses its place as the only world superpower (to China, India, EU), its self-confidence will likely get shaken. If extreme leaders are elected, or one party dominates the country for a number of years, there is a chance that conditions may develop for a civil war. Though about 1 in 100,000.
While I dont see a civil war happening, I could see social unrest (like the 60's) happening if religion gets out of hand, either way - if the liberals crack down on religion or if the conservatives put religion in every day life for everyone.

While history does tend to repeat itself it is never in exactly the same way. I doubt that their will be a second American Civil war fought over States' Rights.
However, a Second American Revolution might arise if the US loses its status as a world super power, is overtaken economically by another power and is defeated in a major war - these things being factors in previous cataclysmic revolutions. For example, Tsarist Russia and the USSR.
Also socially if people's expectations are in some way denied and the overall quality of life declines then social unrest as seen in the 1930s is a possibility.
I'm not saying it's going to happen but it is one possible scenario out of many.

While there is a political divide and disagreement about a lot of things in this country, that disagreement is fairly quiet and peaceful. I don't see large numbers of Americans starting riots and resorting to violence to solve their problems. I think it would take something very extreme to push Americans into another civil war. I also think that this is unlikely to occur in the near future. Our government has been very stable even through times of great uncertainty and conflict, like the 2000 Presidential election (an event which would have caused civil war in a lot of countries).

as much as they say were dividing, it's a quiet divide. Few are out in the streets yelling or fighting. Both sides would have to start protesting, for and against war groups meeting on the streets.
A few more abuses like the cop riot at the mexican rally a few weeks ago. I say cop riot because most of the people were just demonstrating or running away. There wasn't a large civil riot. The cops rioted. One of those against white people would cause some stir.
GW proclaiming himself emperor or third term it.

I see two possibilities. One, the southwestern states decide to join with Mexico and leave the US. The other, states disagee about joining a North American union with Mexico and Canada. I believe that the first scenario is more likely because there are millions of Mexicans living in the southwestern states who are loyal to Mexico, they don't speak English, and their children are learning from Mexican textbooks that Mexico give to US schools.
The Mexicans believe that much of the southwestern US belongs to them and they are actively trying to win it back through their policy called La Reconquista. Check out the sites below for more info on the North American union.

closer than many human beings think of. How lots longer are the manufacturers (hardworking middle classification human beings of any colour / gender/ faith) in our u . s . going to allow themselves to be robbed of the culmination of their elementary hard artwork by way of the two the lazy decrease classification thieves and the brought about top classification thieves. I make no difference. Ayn Rand noted some thing like an "psychological strike" the place each and all of the in a position human beings end generating for society and purely produce for themselves. i'm all in favour of it. of direction you're looking after each and every of the infirm, yet leave each and all of the leaches and parasites (whether or no longer they are interior the initiatives or a severe upward thrust) at the back of to fend for themselves. that's humorous how each and all of the former Socialist international locations are shifting at gentle velocity faraway from that variety of government and we are shifting in direction of it with out experience of historic previous of their debacles!

Maybe if peoples cable television service were to fail for long enough, they would have the motivation to go out and start a civil war.
Past that, I don't think it's going to happen.
