Probably no pollination. This happens in areas with few or no bees. I have taken a piece of paper and placed it under the blooms and tapped on them and then sprinkled it over another bloom.

Well if its hot like I believe above 80+ tomatoes don't like the heat so they will flower but won't fruit.
And if you smoke don't touch the plants, It causes black leaves.

Have you "tickled" the blossoms? They must be pollenated in order to produce fruit. Spiders would actually assist in pollenation.
