Unfortunately the Thinkpad 560x is an older machine with only 1 memory slot. I assume you have the default of 32meg now? The 32meg is built into the board leaving you with the memory slot. The memory slot will hold a max of 64meg. I have included a link to such a module. The max your system will hold is 96meg. The module is relatively cheap, under $50!

Have a look on www.crucial.com and they'll tell you what your RAM options are... plus they've got a tool that will scan your laptop and identify how much and what type of memory is in there already.

They're probably among the cheaper places to buy RAM from as well.

Or www.crucial.com/uk if you're in the UK

You can choose between SDRAM and DDR but the best solution is to visit ibm site and search for your model of PC. There you'll find all info and instructions for it. Best Regards and veradisca! Neven.

Hi. Your choice seems pretty limited... http://www.memorystock.com/memory/IBMThinkPad560X264070U.html
and 64MB 144pin EDO Sodimm looks like your best option.
