Yes. Every one could survive with out those items if they had to. I did it for a month just to see how dependant I am. As far as confort. Every one has a confort level of their own. And if these things confort them they need to re-consider their options.

The cell phone would be NO problem
I refuse to put myself at the whim of anyone's "speed dial" anyway !! And, with all of the other numbers that I have with attached voicemail ect..... the cell wouldn't be a problem one !!
The computer, however, would definately NOT be a comfortable deprivation !! I make a great deal of my income by way of the internet connect --- so --- unless I was ready to take a MAJOR cut in income -- This one would be hard to swallow !!!

yes, and I would love to do it. I have given up tv for about 7 months. I never got it put in when i moved into my new pad. If I didn't have the 'puter at work i would never be on it. I also don't own a cell phone. Technology sucks. Takes up too much time.

In my "real" home, yes, I can survive a month without a computer or cell phone.

However, in my current flat. No, I can't even imagine a day without computer or cell phone. In fact, here internet is my lifeline. Thanks I have internet otherwise my life would be a living hell in my flat. I hate that place.

My cell phone is my ONLY phone so unless I want to be incommunicado, then I need it. I use the computer daily at work so I couldn't survive (earn a living) without THAT, either. Damn, I'm a slave to technology now.
