First time I saw it I was half asleep and it ran in front of me toward some cabinets. I checked, and there was no hole so I'm not sure where it went. Second time it ran across my counter and into a vent on my stove. I never really got a good look at it because it was so quick. I sort of seen it out the corner of my eye twice. It was like a blur. It's not that big, because he easily darted into this small vent on my stove. I still wouldn't believe it was true, but recently it nibbled on a M & M's package that was sitting on my microwave and the packing to a loaf of bread. I have the poison traps, to which it apears he has eaten a few times and he's still alive. I have tried the glue traps, which have failed. I can't get a cat, because I have a 14 month old American Bulldog. Besides this thing is so quick and nibble a cat would have a hard time catching it.

You need to locate at least six traps around where you have seen the intruder. Bait the traps with peanut butter, but do not set the traps. Every day for 3 days do this, rebate but don't set. On the 4th day, rebate, move all the traps to where the most feeding activity was. This is the day to set the trap. You'll outsmart most rodents this way.

I have worked in pest control for several years best thing to use is a glue trap, when the mouse runs over it, it will get stuck on the glue. Use something sweet as bait I have used gummy bears with success. Make sure to put it in an area you have seen the mouse in but not where your pets can get to it. Maybe try behind your stove or under the kitchen sick (water source) Don't use snap traps if you don't anchor them the mouse will run off with it and with animals in the house you never want to use poisons.

When you see one mouse around there are dozens you are not seeing. Given a few months to breed you will have the place overrun. Mice can get through amazingly small holes (size of a coin) and can climb very well.

The problem with poison is that if a mouse does eat it he can die inside the walls and make an unbelievable stink.

You are better off with the snap traps baited with peanut butter and pushed up against the walls where they like to run.

A cat is more nimble than a mouse although you can't use one there.

Try putting up your bulldog in a pet resort (yes, there is such a thing) and have a cat come over to visit for a few days. Even if the cat doesn't catch any mice, the scent of the cat will make the mice think twice about staying around.

This worked for my aunt ... she was in a place where she couldn't have pets, but the landlord didn't have any problem with our cat going over for temporary "hit man" visits to keep the mice away.

My first suggestion would be the poison. But since you have tried that, did you use a regular old mouse trap with some peanut butter or bread tied to the bait spot?

yeah mice are like Roaches if you see one there are about five more somewhere in your house, I agree with the other guy call an exterminator, That is the only effective way to get rid of them You can set all the traps you want but the only thing that really gets rid of all of them is the bait that exterminators set. Trust me if you don't get an exterminator you will be sleeping with mice for a while.

I bet you have more than one mouse. Have an exterminator check it out.
