Call your Ob/Gyn. They can tell you medications that are approved safe for pregnant women.

What I thought was a cold at 37 weeks turned to worsen into a sinus infection. I'm now at 38 weeks and miserable. If you start to cough and blow out yellow/green mucus...let your OB know so he can prescribe you antibiotics.
Obtaining a sinus infection is common in prego women due to the fact that your immune system is suppressed in protecting baby rather than you....so a cold can blow up into something worse.
Also other symptoms include a sore jaw/teeth, headache, fever, aches and pains, and an ear ache.
Over the counter products such as robitussin and benedryl to little to help symptoms and it won't cure it. Only a prescription for antiobiotics will do the trick.

So take care of yourself! Start eating oranges and make sure to take your vitamins!

Drink some tea, ask your ob about regular strenth tylenol, when I was pregnant, the dr told me that was the only pain relief medicine that does not cross the placenta. Hope you feel better.

Get some fresh lemon- boil with a teaspoon of sugar, and mash it up when soft with a potato masher- sieve it and drink as hot as you can-- try to rest when you can. Congratulations by the way, hope you feel better soon. x

You can have regular sudafed, or benadryl but other then that nothing. I had vertigo because of water behind my ear drum...I took benadryl at night to be sure I was at least sleeping.

Oh, I feel for you... I know it sucks. The best thing for you to do is call your Dr. because they know what is ok for you to take that will not hurt the baby. Hope you feel better.

Try different teas that are soothing. They shouldn't affect your baby.
