I'm proud to be alive, and also proud that God blessed me with both white and black friends.

Yes I am proud to be Black and I will claim it until the day I die. I will never minimize who I am to people on Yahoo Answers or the world. I would expect everyone to be proud of their heritage on here no matter what 'color' or 'ethnicity' they are. Since the 1700's we have been programmed to believe we are substandard and less than. I am here to tell you I stand on the shoulders of a strong, persevering people. We are survivors. We are conquerors. Nobody will ever have my permission to rearrange me. Yes... I love being Black. Black I am... and Black I'll be.
Wake up people! Don't get the game twisted. Remember where you came from and what your people have gone through for you to even exist.
We are entertainers, lawyers, authors, designers, inventors, choreographers, authoritarians, educators, poets, politicians, innovators, playwrights, leaders, heroes, scientists, astronauts, engineers and creators. No... I don't believe I will ever deny my ancestry.
And it IS about color indirectly. You better recognize and be proud.

I was born in a "white" body, but what matters most is that I was born into ONE race, God's Human Race! I am proud that He chose to create me. Would I be proud if I was black, brown, red or what ever skin tone??? YOU BET YA!!! I love EVERYONE!

I'm not, and I wouldn't be...okay, put your signs down and hear me out.

Race to me is a trivial thing--it's nothing to be ashamed of, but I don't think there's really any intrinsic 'pride' in it either. It's not really anything, when you think about it. Your ethnicity is decided by the chunk of dirt your mother happened to be on when she birthed you, that's all. And the borders of countries are pretty much arbitrary too...apparently the difference between being born Spanish or French is just what side of the imaginary line we call the 'border' you're on, for example...

Whatever. It's no big deal one way or the other.

I'm black and i'll just say i'm not going to take any form of disrespect for me being black. But i'm more proud of the fact that I can beat most men at pool, that i'm strongminded and just and that i'm intelligent and creative.

I'm proud to be white, even though it's not politically correct for me to say so. We can't say 'white pride!' without being assumed racist.
