The nurse said my uterus is tilted. If the doctor can't hear the heartbeat at 12 weeks since it is tilted will they do another ultrasound or just assume everything is okay?

I don't know how I heard it. She did a vaginal ultrasound and I got to see the baby and heard the heartbeat.

I heard mine at 7 weeks and had the whole tilted uterus thing also. It took the Dr a few minutes to find the heartbeat my next visit but they did. I had a few ultrasounds because one of the babies kidneys showed fluid, but they did nothing concerning the tilted uterus.

Its normal for them to detect a heartbeat that early with a vaginal ultrasound. They could detect one with my current pregnancy at 6 weeks. I don't know what's normal as far as what they do when they can't hear it but with my son they couldnt find his at 12 weeks and they basically just said maybe dates are a little off, see you at your next appt in 4 weeks and thats it. If you are worried about it and dont think you can wait that long, ask for other options.

Wait...how did you hear with a vaginal at 8 weeks? Just because it's tilted doesn't mean you won't be able to hear it even then.

you would be waiting to work out the infant, you ought to no longer comprehend it however! It wont look as though somewhat one & the wellbeing practitioner will in all probability would desire to factor it out for you. And the heart beat in all probability wont be heard till with regard to the 10th week. I had my first ultrasound at approximately 15 weeks & you ought to truly tell it became right into somewhat one by way of then.
