I've used my pill several times to skip a period. It's very easy and I had no side-effects whatsoever.
The first three weeks of your pill are hormones and the last week is just a placebo. So what you do (as you stated above) is take the first three weeks of the pack and instead of taking a week of placebo, you just start a new pack of hormones.
That way you will have 6 straight week of hormones and will not have your period until you're done taking the hormone portion of your pills. Good Luck!

Well if you're due for your period on your wedding day, there's probably almost nothing you do do at this point with it being a month away. You should have done something about it at least a month ago. You can try to take all of the birth control pills, but when you get to the last week of placebo pills, just start the next pack of pills and basically take the hormones non-stop. It *might* delay your period, but it may not. You could try the Depo shot, but women often have weight gain with it and now is not the time to need last minute alterations on your dress. Good luck and have a great wedding!

I think it is too soon for you to miss your period that day. It will take a few pill packs to get your cycle on track with the pills. Even if you DID try to skip the sugar pills you could still have it that day.
Don't get on depo. Too many nasty side affects. Did that for four years of hell.

There are pills that can do that, but for health reasons, you should allow your body to do what it is meant to do and that is to clean itself out with your menstration. Wish people would stop trying to do unnatural things to their bodies and plan around the period. If women would keep a calendar, you'd know when to plan things....such as weddings, vacations, etc. I do, and I have yet to have a period during any events I plan.

there's no scientific reason to have a peroid each month. I genuinely have been taking the pill consistently for 6 months now, and occsionally have destroy-with the aid of bleeding yet not something like my conventional peroids (that have been aweful!) Many pills now are dosed so taht you basically have a peroid each 3 months. in spite of the undeniable fact that, in the experience that your physique isnt used to the pill and spaced out peroids, you're greater possibly to have leap forward bleeding-so carry pads/tampons! many women folk regulate the dosing of their pill to stay away from their peroid in the time of their trip, and that i might say a marriage/honeymoon is a good greater useful reason! have a solid time and congrats, its completely secure!

Not nessicairly. You might want to make an emergency appt with your MD to get on Depo. That stops about 90% of periods. I didnt have my period for darn near a year. Worked pretty well for me :)

Talk to your gyno and they can help you plan it. Mine helped me out when we were going camping for a week in the mountains.
