They've been casting for the show since March 2007. The deadline to get your application/tape in was April 20 2007, so they probably haven't finished picking the "contestants" yet. The show usually moves the houseguests into the Studio City house in June and begins taping from moment one. The show airs live-- the houseguests are currently sequestered, living in the house, while we are watching the show on CBS, unlike other CBS shows like "The Amazing Race" or "Survivor," which are filmed months before we see them appear on TV.
James Rhine, former "Big Brother" contestant will be joining this year's show as an online correspondent, talking about houseguests and relationships within the house.
The Executive Producer of "Big Brother," Arnold Shapiro, was forced out after "All-Stars" garnered severely low ratings, and Producer Allison Grodner stepped up to the EP plate. Expect to see changes this new season, which may begin with a later start date: they are taking more time to create "twists" and shock-value challenges. i hope soon! im a big freak over that show! lol i have tivo, so i always record it, so once every1 is in bed and tis quiet in the house, i get comfortable in my bed and watch it, and im like ZONED into it lol i do NOT like to be disturbed while watching that show lol
i hope it comes on soon!!!! im just worried it might be getting cancelled soon and wont ever come back =(
