why do black ppl put grease on thier heads? do bi racial ppl need grease?

Not all do nor do we all do it, all of the time. Our kinky hair tends to soak up all the moisture it can get, making hair brittle and dry. OIL MOISTURIZER is usually what is used, but grease gives the hair more pliability, sheen and flexibiltiy. It keeps breakage to a minimum and helps the style look more groomed.

Some bi-racial people have kinky hair, but not all. So, yes, but moisturizing oil or creme is better than grease, which just coats the hair.

I used to apply grease to one of my friends scalp ( I am white, she is black) and she said it was because they don't produce enough oil in their hair to keep their scalp moisturized so the grease helps keep their scalp from being incredibly dry. I have a few biracial friends and I guess it depends on whether you get the "good hair". Some need it some don't.

its not really grease its a antifriz cream..my friends younger siblings r half black and thats what they use. if they didnt then there hair would be a big afro.

My bf is black and he uses pomade/grease along with a rag (do-rag) to keep the waves in his hair. Our children are biracial and we put grease/lotion in their hair. Especially our daughter because her hair is so curly. It helps to keep it conditioned and helps to brush it easier.
