Lots of suggestions from me. First thing to do with any driveability problem is to get the PCM scanned for codes and any unusual data. In this particular case, need to have a look at the IAC counts and the blk lrn and fuel trim. If nothing unusual is noticed or codes are not set, start looking at all of the secondary ignition cables and the parts they connect to for carbon tracking or corrosion on either. Replace any that show any signs of problems. Check plugs for the same and for the electrodes being worn out. These fuel filters have a tendency to get plugged so just replace it to be sure. I would then inspect and do a thorough cleaning of the intake's throttle body and IAC motor's pintle and bores. Make sure the air filter is okay also. There is a chance that the upper intake gasket is leaking vacuum. To check, spray some of the throttle cleaner around the upper intake and if motor stumbles, the gasket has had it. Now do a pressure power flush of the injectors to be sure that is all okay. If these simple type solutions do not work, you need further diagnosis and will need special tools to continue. Most of the simple stalling problems can be found right here though. Good luck.

Check out the

I'm not all the farmilar w/ the 4.3L's. Most of my experience has come w/ the 350/5.7L's. But, right off hand, I'd say it has something to do w/ the timing. So, a tune-up maybe in order or @ less checkin the timing on it.

The web site above have alot of GM truck owners on it. That, know alot about all the GM model trucks, both V6 and V8 models.

Here I went ahead and performed a search for you on the '4.3L stalling'. Check the results out here:

Good luck!

Maybe you should try a tune-up if you haven't had one lately.
