a) Magnitude of Force
b) Nature of Force (tension or compression)
c) Comment on any differences between the two answers.

The triangle (not right angle) has a force bearing down on the top of 8.8kN and 4.1kn and 4.7kN forcing up on either side. It is 38 degrees the left hand corner and 41.85 degrees on the other.

Looking at FBD of the lower left
F1*cos(38)=F3
Where F1 is compression into the bottom and F3 is tension to the right
also
F1*sin(38)=4.1
F1=6.6 kN
F3=5.25 kN Tension
On the right
F2*sin(41.85)=4.7
F2=7.045 kN

Check F3=F2*cos(41.85)
F3=5.25 kN same as other side

F1 is the force in compression on the left frame, F2 is the right, also compression, and F3 is the tension in the bottom.
