why Not the husband? Husband should be the first to blame. Don't give the other women the satisfaction.

I haven't heard that this works well, but it would definitely publicize what she has done. You could sue her for "alienation of affection." She has come between you and your husband and alienated the affection you two had toward one another.
My suggestion to you is to go buy the book "After the Affair," by Dr. Janis Abrams Spring. It will take you awhile to read through each chapter because it forces you to work through your grief, anger, hurt, disappointment, and embarrassment over the "other woman" and the break up.
I am so very sad to hear that this has happened to you. I found out about the "other woman" on Christmas morning when I woke up to find that my husband had gone to her house during the night. Try not to break anything too valuable...at least nothing that you're going to want later.
Definitely get into counseling. Definitely DO NOT act on your impulse to break her neck. You don't want to have legal problems or go to jail as a result of that good for nothing piece of slime. She's not worth it! Keep everything on the up-and-up and if you are able to successfully sue her bum off, I'll be cheering for you from the side lines!
Feel free to e-mail me if you want.

I think there have been attempts at this. Do a "Google search...type in the key word and see what comes up.
It happens so often that a pretty, young thing at the office steals a man away from his wife and children...it is a crime, of sorts.
Many families have been crushed by affairs and many wives have been left feeling as you feel.
There should be some kind of 'looking into' these situations, but I doubt seriously if laws will ever be passed.
I'm sorry you are hurting. Only time will heal your pain. You are probably better off with out this guy. I know that you don't feel that way now.
If a guy has the tendency to "stray" he will do it, eventually. You would have faced this down the road, anyway.
Get yourself healthy, exercise, join clubs, get you life in order and move on!!

It depends where you live, but generally the courts do not like those sorts of suits. If you are in the USA, then generally you will not have to pay anyone except your lawyer, even if you lose, so why not sue. There are good legal forms sites on the web that will allow you to fill in a pleading. It is probably a tortious claim for inducing a breach of contract. If you are in Canada, you may have to pay the other side's legal costs if you lose, so you want to be careful and see a lawyer before suing.

Back in the good old days there used to be something called "alienation of affections" and in some state it is possible that there still is. You should check your states statutes although most are "no fault" states now.
Keep in mind that your husband left you for her and unless she was holding a gun to his head, he left under his own steam. You should be thankful that she has shown you what kind of man you married and be glad he is gone. There are plenty of good, honest, loving men in this world to hold anger and vengefull thoughts over a cheating SOB. Be glad you know what kind of man he is..his pecker didn't accidentally get hard and she accidentally fell on it...it takes two to tango.
You can let some of that anger go by being grateful that you know without a doubt what kind of man you married and get out while the getting is good.
Good luck~

It is called "Alienation of affection" and there are only 7 states that still allow for such law suits.
Why these law suits exist:
"Historically, the alienation of affection law was based on the belief that a wife was the property of her husband. Therefore, when a woman was emotionally or sexually involved with another man, she was considered to have been stolen."
Frankly I think anyone who brings this sort of lawsuit is just bitter and angry. They are allowing this to have too much control over their lives and need to let go. It is unhealthy.

Its called "alienation of affection". And yes, you can sue her, ONLY if your state recognizes that law and for only the money you can proove you lost to her. OH, and try finding a lawyer who will take the case. Many wont. My state recognizes it and I tried to sue my husbands whore, and I couldnt find a lawyer who take the case. They are hard to proove. You cant sue for emotional damage, only what money you can proove you lost.

You might not be able to sue her, but you can probably sue your husband for abandoment and adultery.Talk to a lawyer or legal aid and see if they can set you up with spousal support for a few years so you can back on your feet again. Good Luck!!

Im not saying that she had NOTHING to do with it but come one...why do we always blame the other women or man. You need to blame your husband. And come on...sue her! What is the world coming to that we sue over everything. I know it hurts but think of it this way, if he doesnt want to be with you then you are better off without him. Find someone who truely loves you.
