I have twice since I've been stationed in Iraq. Both men were married also. Can't really give a reason as to "why". Just the thrill and excitement of it, I guess.

I got cheated on.
Married a woman who didn't know she was gay. She found someone that could fulfill that part of her.
They are still together now, (going on 6 years) and I couldn't be happier for her.
When I got married, I promised to do my best to make her happy, but it wasn't as a condition that it would be with me.
I had that opportunity (to make her happy) by letting her go and being supportive and it has.
It's still wrong to cheat. If you (or your spouse) HAS to cheat, they are signalling the end of that relationship and they should break up first, not try it out just in case it's too much for them. They either cut the cake or pick the piece, not both.
Hope that helps.

I think its more of cultural differences and maybe a little mis-communication than cheating. In my home there were just different accepted ways of doing things than what she was raised with. For example in Monopoly you can team up with another player to form a corporation and in Go Fish you don't have to have the card you are asking for. I think it makes the games more challenging

No, I have never cheated on a spouse and would never. What's the point? If you're unhappy, why not save a lot of people a lot of pain and misery and just tell the spouse you are unhappy. don't step out on them.

I think there is a myth out there that most people will never cheat and that the only way is monogamy.. I have and I can tell you it`s painful for both individuals involved...

If you're truly in love with someone, you don't have the desire for anyone but that person, at least, that's how it worked for me. She was everything I could want in a woman, and thus, I was fully satisfied. If you feel the need to go to someone to fulfill something you feel is lacking in your relationship be it talking or sex - you should re-evaluate your relationship. Things aren't always as they seem. Be true to yourself, you'll be true to them. I feel people shouldn't have to cheat for any reason, It's either there or it isn't. If not, point blank END IT. Less drama in the longrun.
