The Democrats Popularity, won't mean nothing. If they don't show up on Election Day.

The Presidents low Popularity. Means Republicans are behind the Eight Ball.

How is cutting people down. Effective in getting people to show up Vote?

Both sides, needs as many to show up at Election Time, as possible.

Showing off your (so-called) talent for insulting someone. Is only chasing people away.

We should inform. Rather than insult.

We should motivate. Rather than mistreat.

How do we get people to Vote. When all you show is anger and hatred?

Nibbles: I knew I could count on my Friends. Let `em live in their hatefulness. The Power is in The Vote. Not the anger that's being shown.

Has anyone noticed how most of the Attack Dogs are staying away from this one? Have they come down with a case of Humanity? Surely not!!

FOR THE RECORD!!! I have E-Mailed a few of these "Attack Dogs". I've invited them to to respond to this Question. As of now. None have done so. I'll leave this open, to see if they have the courage to.

At different times of the day, there are more nonAmericans on here than Americans. I know they think they're winning hearts and minds by insulting Americans (and having Americans agree with them) and will heroically change the course of American politics, but they're actually just a turn-off and the Democratic party gets the blame (not that they don't deserve blame all by themselves)

Making an appeal for this on an Internet forum that is open to anyone no matter where their IP address comes from may not produce a lot of results. But good luck with it.

I agree with everything you say except I would change
"we should inform rather than insult"> to ... we should inform rather than try to reform.
It seems like when an opinion is offered up for debate there is always the stipulation that the askers opinion is the right and only one, putting anyone from a differing opinion on the defensive. That's why I think some people are so 'insulting',they are feeling they have to defend their view, as opposed to just stating their view. If we could be informative instead of controversial in the wording of our questions, just maybe we could eliminate a lot of the derogatory statements being made. Just a thought.

I know exactly what you mean . Today I asked a couple and answered a couple, but the quality of the users on here this morning is small at best . So as a result, my garden is getting my attention today !!

I might pop-in a time or two, but some days it's like they let all the wackos out of the institution and handed them laptops set-up for Yahoo Answers .

I'm sure we'll be able to shame some of them into becoming better people and better answerers, but not all . Sigh . And when voting time comes along, real people will either put-up or shut-up and that's a good thing !!

I'm with you all the way Buzz. Some are beginning to open their eyes and understand what's being said here. A war should not be fought here on yahoo answers. There is enough war going on elsewhere. I haven't once heard you attack a person for their choice of who they wish to vote for. I have only heard you encourage people to exercise their right, no, correct that, their RESPONSIBILITY to voice their choice of candidates by voting. Too many people are getting defensive about a subject that should be near and dear to us all. I know how I will be voting but I am open to anything others wish to pass on. We have got to stop attacking each other and put that energy to better use.

The only was to get people to vote...is by taking those that will listen to reason...and educate them to the ways of voting. It truly doesn't matter who they vote for....but getting them educated and getting them out on Election Day.

Scott.....Buzz is doing something that may, just possibly end this hatred amonst users....why can't you appreciate the fact that some of us just despise the hatred and have agreed that stopping the hatred is a GOOD thing...why must you continue to call people names??

Buzz, you are right on track as usual. The unfortunate thing is that our children are going to be home for the summer, playing on the Internet. We don't want them to think that Y!A is what politics are all about. Why are we trying to scare away the future of our country before they can be properly informed?

Amen! Preach it my brother!!!

Contrary to what both extremes will say, Democrat or Republican, we are all Americans. And it's time we started acting that way.

How do we get people to vote? Maybe handle it like American Idol. Everyone going in has a chance. And one each week gets voted off until we are down to the person who becomes our Commander and Chief.

Anything has to be better than the system we operate under now.

I too would like to see a little less venom spewing and a little more unity.

It seems that people love to hate and they want everyone else to be like them. What a goal to have.

I agree and I need to stop responding to those questions that are merely created to rile people up. I've learned to simply avoid many of them and know who they are, but there are times when I allow myself to fall into the trap and end up spitting venom out as well.

If anything, the animosity between the two parties will get more people to vote. Just look at the last two presidential elections.
