If you have a good Christian girl, then you can be very lucky, but you only get out of a relationship what you put into it. You should work out whether you could behave like her father - if he is a good Christian guy. If you could not, then you should think very carefully about whether this attraction will mature into long term love. Do not think that you will change her for the better by de-Christianizing her. Why you love her is the whole package and if you change one aspect, it will affect other aspects and she may become unattractive. So, if you can walk the walk you should marry her, if you are going to ask her for a threesome six months down the track, then you should forget it.

Marriages with people of strong but different religious beliefs have a very high divorce rate. She will expect you to bend and conform to her beliefs, whether or not you want too. If you can't or don't want to do that, you need to find someone new. Some people are not meant to be together, there is nothing wrong with that. Doesn't mean either of you have failed, just that you are not meant to be.

If you have kids, will you be ok with her teaching them "her christian" beliefs or will she be ok with you teaching them your beliefs.

Prior to getting married, I HAD to have this area covered.
I said "I want kids, I want to raise them right, but I can't have kids that grow up to believe in fictional 'all powerful' figments of the imagination.

If you have a need to lie to your children about how we got here, then I can't marry you."
She agreed that she wanted me more than to put her beliefs on a child and we were married.

So, dispite her belief in God, (and being divorced now) she is still honouring that request and my daughter has no preconceived notions on something that can't be proven.

If she grows up and wants to follow a religion, she may and I will know it won't be because of anything outside of her self and I will support her. (although I hope that's not the route she chooses.)

If your personal beliefs are not obstacles but you've both got to accept that before you move ahead. Otherwise you're likely to have a host of problems in life.

People have made marriages work even with different beliefs. You will need to come to agreement on how you handle these differences for different occassions and if you decide to have children, you will have to already have decided how you will raise and teach them without conflict.
