Do not use paper towels. They are actually quite abrasive.
A soft cloth. (Microfiber or cotton are good).
Dampen it with a soft soap solution. If that does not work, dampen it with isopropyl alcohol.
Dampen the cloth and then clean the screen. If you spray liquids onto the screen there is a chance that excess liquid will run down the screen and short the electronics out. It is unlikely, but why take the chance?

Never use normal glass cleaning products or any type of alcohol. You need to use a cleaner made specifically for LCD type screens and a soft cloth that won't leave lint. Water will work on the dust but not fingerprints, soap will leave a film unless you wipe it with clear water afterwards.

well you can buy some moniter wipes at your local electronics store, but i just use a soft cloth (like an old t-shirt) and get that damp with a little bit of water, and then wipe it down. don't use cleaners like windex because the eat away at the screen coating.

Water and a little bit of isopropyl alcohol.
There are cloths you can get at most computer/office supply stores that are cheap.
Never use windex or any other cleaner.
