It just started running a test on my computer by itself, which is ok I guess, but it's already found two viruses. Will AVG automatically delete these or am I going to have to go in the file and do it manually?

When AVG has done a complete scan it will ask if you want to "heal" the problems that it has found. Let it. If there are any viruses or problems that it can't heal it will ask if you want to put them into the "virus" vault. Let it. After it is done, you should probably do a reboot.

Keep your virus definitions up to date and all should be well. If you don't want AVG to run automatically, right click the icon in the system try and then click "Launch AVG Control Center". Now click "Test Center" and then click "Scheduler". In "Scheduled Tasks" highlight a schedule and then click "Edit Schedule. In the box that opens uncheck "Periodically start scheduled antivirus test". But remember that if you do not let your anti virus software run automaticly, you will need to run it manually.

AVG Anti Virus is a very poor Anti Virus, many are the times we get on here "Help I have a Virus & AVG wont remove it", anyone who has knowledge of computer will tell you not to use it because of it's poor Performance.

I format at least two computers hard drives a month were the young Lad/Girl did not know better & beleive that AVG was a good Anti Virus Program.

Remember kids if the Anti virus program has a rating of less than 95% then it's not an Anti virus program but a Joke (AVG scores 82% they so, but i would say it's a lot lower)

I tested AVG antivirus and this program fails to stop alot of viruses. Sometimes it will clean other times the virus is still in your system. If you really want an excellent free antivirus program download from AOL, Active Virus Shield, powered by Karpersky Lab of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. You will get automatic updates every hour on the hour plus has an excellent background scanner that really kills viruses in real time. AOl, will only ask you for your email so they can send you your free key good for one year. After one year just request a new key.

Depend's alot of the virus.Normaly any virus scanner can delete them yes.But some have problems which if it can't be deleted then your gonna have to do it.To do it yourself reboot in safe mode without networking connections then run the virus scanner again once it finds them use the address it gives you like C:/windows/nic/. Reason begin if it can't delete a virus because its running on your computer when you reboot in safe mode it only runs the **** it need's and the virus will not run because whoever encoded the virus needs internet to take effect :)

i believe AVG will delete them, I recommend you to get a better Anti Virus software though. AVG is free but i found that it lets in more viruses then it finds. I recommended you to get Norton Anti Virus. but thats just me.

if its a trojan it will be deleted and if its a virus it will be healed.
If it cant repair the infections then it will move them to the vault.
There you can send the file to avg for analysis and get a fix for them in the next update or get another antivirus which will delete them.
