Energy use and pollution per person, if not per square mile, is highest in the US by a wide margin.

All countries are examining their policies, but people in the US are and should be more concerned with what the US does, since other countries behavior in not under our control.

I think there is a lot of critical examination of the E.U. and China's global impact it is just less high profile. China is increasingly under mounting pressure by the world community to clean up its act before it destroys the habitability of its country. The E.U. seems to get less criticism because it appears to try harder at achieving a greener environment and Some of what it is doing is helping. Better and cleaner mass transportation system, more energy produced by hydro plants, more fuel efficient cars, and the like make them a forerunner in the changing approaches to pollution.
Still China and the E.U. each have more people in more crampt conditions so their pollution is going to be high.

It depends on what you mean by "critical examination". I am sure it is incorrect to say that there is no criticism of the ecological situation in these two geographical areas. To what degree leaders in these places react to the criticism by doing something about the problem is another question, but you can surely say that about the US as well...

please ask a real question. critical examination of what, what about their total population or polution. what kind of polution are you referring to.
