I know I couldn't. I am too materialistic and I'm too much into my toys.

Yes.
But.
Would we go back to childhood where fair shares meant little or no personal choice? Where everything was dished out by the system?
Or would we be able to completely reassess the line between a need and a desire, and come to a totally mutual, worldwide agreement about what is needed and what things are frilly extras?
Would we be able to have occasional treats or luxuries and how would we make sure everyone got a fair amount? A points system?
Isn't that money all over again?

This is a deeper question than most people think. A lot of people are just looking at this question superficially but if you stop and really think about it.
What is the worst that can happen? If you believe in some kind of faith within yourself and truly love yourself and are a good person - forgetting about how we live now - yes, it can be done -- and I think people would work more together with a show of unity and spirit and trust. You only have to look deep into your soul and believe to survive.

It's hard to buy food without money. And to get money you need a job. I guess if I lived on a farm and had a garden and wood for fire, and knew how to live off the land, it could be done.
I think I could live on LESS money and have a much simpler life. I am trying to do that. Buying less clothes, going out less, enjoying things like reading, spending time with family. Either it's old age or just plain learning to love the simpler life, but I have to admit that I am happier with LESS.
Thanks for this great question. It has made me think!!!

No, frankly I cannot.I am a normal schoolgirl of 14 and behave like one.So as for me I cannot.
But one "can" live "without money".If you have the
desire to live ,not for yourself but for the bad bad world ,even after it has deprived you of the most basic aminity you think you need to survive in here , YOU CAN LIVE and to be a 100 at that!!!
If you are so full of goodness and love ,you will be so serene that you will forget food ,water, return of love for love. But you will love others all the same. You will love the dog that comes everyday to sit beside you on the foothpath, you will love the so cruel man who spit on you when you asked him for something to eat.
You will start to feed yourself that love and thus you will live!!

no i couldn't.. money plays the most important role in our lives.. how could u be "just" human w/o money? would u be satisfied being nomad and get food anywhere available.? for example,fruit-bearing trees.. there is no free in this world now. any material things that you wanted would cost even a single cent. so i must say i couldnt live without money.

If I live in a countryside with farm lands I still need a bit of money to exchange the item I want. The day you were born you need money, the day you left this world also need money.

not really, not nowdays,,,,, as you would have to have a place to live,,,,,, and you would have to buy land,,,, even if you built a shelter and grew your own food,,,,,, and all land seems to be owned by someone nowdays,,,,,,,,, though i guess you could find a deserted place,,,,,, but in order to do it totally without money, you would have to begin in it with no earthly things,, meaning clothing nor tools,,,,,, and if you researched things ahead of time,,,,, using books or the internet,, such as making fire etc,,, then you still have not done it without using money
but once you go out naked, into the wilderness, then yes you could begin to live without money
or you could use money , to set yourself up into a situation, such as buying land, and cloth and sewing needles, a loom etc,,,,, and begin from that point to lead a money free life

Yes, I could live, but it would be in a cardboard box and I would eat out of garbage cans.

Could I? Sure. Will it ever happen? No. That is true communism, and it has never taken place.
