There is no reason why I will not continue for as long as they have them, to buy "Forever" stamps.
They should have Paula Abdul come out from hiding as an American Idol judge and sing, "I'm forever your STAMP (instead of your girl)."
It's not like you'll have to add a penny stamp to them at some point.
And if you do decide to go HOG WILD buying them, they can be in someone's inheritance.

No, the forever stamp is a gimick that the postal service is using to raise funds. This gimmick is a good one for everyone however. These stamps will by law be accepted, well, forever, so the USPS is looking for businesses and folks to buy buy buy. A great long range deal

You might see some very pretty stamps you would like to use.
Forever stamps go up in price at every price increase....
You can buy forever stamps at 41cents now and continue
to use them forever but when you run out of them you will need
to purchase more of them and they will be selling at whatever
the price has become, such as perhaps 44 cents next time
you buy more forever stamps...

my guess is that they will only be available for a limited time until they actually have the new 41 stamps available. Kind of like the temp ones they issue at first that have no postage amount listed.
