many,many celebrities have had alcohol,addiction problems...yet ,it seems like every time they say something about Drew Barrymore,they have to add"former addict"to her name..they dont do that to Robin Williams,or Tim Allen....So she had a drug problem--could it be because her mother was taking her to BARS from the time she was 8 years old,and that she grew up mostly around drunk people?helllooooo....I admire her,because she has come a long way.....and she didnt use her family history as an excuse to be drunk and high all the time...She fixed it,went out there,and made something of herself.....Kudos to Drew!!!!

Drew Barrymore has more history attached to her than a lot of celebs. First, she grew up in the public eye, and it's hard to forget pictures of nine year old Drew out on the town at night when the rest of us were watching power rangers or whatever. Secondly, she comes from a hollywood family- John Barrymore, etc. so it's natural that any labels are more likely to stick to her because there may be more interest in her in the first place.

Its because they keep wanting her to slip up. I love drew but that is what it is. They just want her to slip up then again maybe she likes it that way so she never forgets and never will slip up. Who knows. But the press never let anything go....just like we will be hearing about anna nicole for the rest of our lifes. they just won't let people move on.
