The Eagles should be contenders this year. And that's coming from a Cowboys fan. They don't have much of a chance it would seem against New England or Indianapolis, but as far as the NFC goes, it would take an overwhelming surprise season from some team to overtake them. Their only weaknesses are at safety, receiving corps (which is still not bad), and possibly at LB if Spikes doesn't perform that well and Trotter gives in. Tony Hunt is a great late round pick, and the only Eagles pick likely to play this year. Don't bother being concerned. A bad draft doesn't mean that it's a bad team. Except for maybe Dallas.

They should be very solid on offense provided McNabb is healthy. Feeley is a solid backup but can only manage a game, not win it. If Feeley is starting and they ask him to do too much they will definitely lose. Kolb is a year or two away from being ready to start. Luckily they should have a great ground game this year. I also think we have one of the top 3 offensive lines in the NFL.
The defense has some question marks. Will they be able to stop the run this year? Is there enough depth in the secondary in case of injuries? Can we get any production out of our outside linebackers? Is Trotter healthy enough to make it through a whole season? If the defense can pull its act together the Eagles should be okay.
I expect the Eagles to win the division and win atleast one playoff game. Whether or not they make the Super Bowl depends on how many players get injured and the coaching. Last year we got outcoached in the Saints playoff game. I think this year the coaching staff will be wiser. THE EAGLES ARE A CONTENDER

no. McNabb has finished the season on the sideline three out of the past 5 seasons, and I think the injuries will just keep nagging him. McNabb is probably the best player that keeps getting hurt right now. The Eagles didn't even address their main needs in this years draft. While picking Kevin Kolb from U of Houston was a steal, they needed a LB to help an already aging LB core and a prominant RB to help the less then average running game. Those two areas were unaddressed at the draft, and with the loss of Dante Stallworth to the Patriots. The Eagles are back at square one to find a "go-to" receiver. I expect the eagles to struggle in the NFC East this year.

If Mcnabb is healthy than I think the Eagles have a good chance of making the postseason. If he is not healthy, I would think the Eagles do not have as good of chance to make the playoffs. Andy Reid probably can get the Eagles into the postseason with 2nd or 3rd string quarterback.. How many times has he done that? Any Reid has been having personal problems at home and he has to do family stuff instead of coach The Eagles. That could have an effect this season too.

It will depend on wether or not Donovan Mcnabb can stay on the field. There a different team when he is there. Philly is multi-diminsional (pass , run and bootleg). Without Donovan they rely too much on Westbrook and could wear him down rather quickly. I see 8 to 10 wins for the Eagles this year. If they can get in the playoffs then of course they have a chance in the NFL. I have to say i have them as a contender more then a pretender

Looking at their schedule, if they are to be a contender, they will hve to do it against New England on the road, in New Orleans, and the Bears at home. These are teams that could make a run for the Super Bowl. The Vikings are also on their schedule and they could be the sleeper team of the season coming off a good draft. McNabb would have to stay health the entire season for them to have a chance since Garcia isnt around to help carry them.

Like always its on Mcnabbs unsteady legs. They need to run Westbrook more and also Moats and they're RB draft pick. The only WR they have is Curtis, Brown is a second string in skills. LJ Smith is a big key. They need to shut down the run on Defense look for their defense to be great this season with the adding of Spikes despite getting rid of Walker.

They'll be a contender for Playoffs
But that is where the Bus stops...
Too many holes, that WR group is as bad as ever...
No real running game, Brian Westbrook is amazing but they need a complement that is pure power (not the junk they have right now)
The defense isn't what it use to be
---
Donovan McNabb is gonna have to play amazing just to get this team in the playoffs... But won't even come close to a Superbowl

Not sure we can answer that at this point. I mean really alot can happen between now and the season starting? But I think Andy will get that team ready. He has been doing it for the last couple years. Now I got to admit the team seems to be ready to fall apart but I felt for awhile and they seem to bounce back.
