The chapter of a sorority that I'm interested in is active on campus but currently has no undergraduate members. I am interested in pursuing membership with this sorority but I'm not sure if I should email the graduate advisor or just wait until information is posted.

You can email the advisor, or even see if they are sponsoring any events on campus that you can attend and speak to them there. Showing an interest is what makes them notice. I didn't go thru with my pledge because I had a family situation to deal with at the time, but I would show up at events that they were sponsoring and get to know the girls and speak to them about the organization. They were very helpful and you get to know them more before you make your final decision.

Yes, you should contact the graduate advisor for the sorority at that school. Or you should consider contacting the national organization to see what they're planning in terms of restarting the undergraduate chapter.

Chances are, they are waiting until they can form an interested group of women such yourself to restart the undergraduate chapter.

By letting the sorority know you're interested, they will likely keep you in the loop about if and when you can join the sorority at that school. They might even ask you to gather together other interested women who would want to help start the undergraduate chapter up again.

Good luck!

I'm a little confused by your question because, as many universities as I've been associated with, I've never known one to have graduate students in sororities. And in my experience, the graduate advisor is generally an academic position, which would not know anything about a sorority.

I would find out when sorority rush occurs at your university. You don't want to bug them at the wrong time because it could make you look clueless, but if rush happens and you don't see anything about this particular sorority, I would contact the sorority to find out if it is possible to join, and if so, how you can go about doing so.

I would email the graduate advisor to show them that you are interested.
