I once saw a crowd of teenagers and young adults bullying a lad who looked about 20 but appeared to have some kind of special needs and clearly couldn't stick up for himself. I was furious and stormed over, asking him if he was ok. I then told the crowd to leave him alone and give him a break saying that he had done nothing to them. They were all speechless, thankfully. Afterwards when I thought about the situation I think I probably put myself in quite a dangerous position. That thought made the whole situation sadder. I often think of that lad.

If I saw kids bullying another kid, I would step in, but I would also be weary as so many kids weapons now adays, and woudnt think twice about attacking whoever intervenes.
If I saw another adult being bullied, I would call the police straight away and assess the situation.

As a school teacher I am legally and ethically expected to deal with any issue of bullying I see in the school grounds. With adults, I'd be more reluctant because I don't have the same power to arbitrate.

I would get on to the kids and break up what they were doing. I have not seen adults behave like this. Thank god adults have grown out of bullying. If I saw it, I would speak up.

I would like to think I would intervene if it was children bullying other children . However not sure if it was adult against another adult . Too many nutters carry knives etc know adays.
Obviously I would ring the police .

it depends on who the child was who was being bullied.. if it was my son being bullied, I might not immediately rush to his aid unless I thought he was getting seriously hurt..
then later I would talk to him and teach him to stand up for himself.. because I know I'm not always going to be there to defend him when he encounters bullies in life..
if I saw an adult being physically assulted by another adult, I would intervene.. I'd put my martial arts training to use..

As I have done for a number of years - put my sticky beak where it wasn't wanted regardless of the consequences! I cannot abide bullies. They are basically cowards and when confronted in 99.9% of cases back down. Luckily for me I have never met the other .1%!

Tell them to leave the child alone, but I might call the police if it was adults doing the same thing.

I would try and help in the situation with kids. With adults it becomes more sticky a situation - but more important maybe to stop. I'd help and try as best I could to help out.
