Work out, eat healthy, & take vitamins. GNC is a great store for vitties!

In additon: Common sense- keep your alcohol consumption to a minimum, don't smoke (any) or do drugs.

Great thinking about it at 19! You have a long life ahead of you & starting young is the only way you will survive when you are older. Good luck!

The biggest thing is to stay out of the sun, as any dermatologist will tell you. Sunblock MAY help prevent some cancers, but will not help much with warding off the aging effects.

I am 36 and have not been in full sun much at all since I was 20, due to precancerous moles and skin cancer in the family. I still get carded buying beer, and when I run into old high school friends they are always surprised at how young I still look, and I am always secretly surprised at how they all look 25 years older than me! My best friend (a natural redhead) has also avoided the sun for the very same reasons, and she has the same experiences I do.

If you smoke quit immediately. Stay out of the sun...and avoid getting burned then tanned deeply. Drink lots of water and eat a lot of veggies and fresh fruit. Use a mild skin cleanser, avoiding harsh soap. Use an oil free moisturizer.
