Read the novels of Patrick O'Brien. He wrote the books that the film "Master and Commander" was based upon. These are great adventures. Also, "The Three Musketeers" by Dumas. All great and exciting. Nice hat.

I had this comparable subject, because of the fact my significant character is a princess during the middle of the conflict. i did no longer prefer a warrior princess, so I made it particularly trouble-free. She did no longer understand a thank you to combat and left it at that. And the reason? nicely, her uncle, who helped develop her, felt that if she discovered a thank you to combat, she's foolishly run into each and every conflict questioning she ought to win. That became into in simple terms this type of character she has. Runs in there, says besides the fact that, each and every time. If she did no longer understand a thank you to combat, she'd intently %. her battles, combating in in simple terms those the place odds are patently in her prefer. particular she's on the front traces, yet she on no account consists of weapons. that's been particularly various exciting.

Ted Conover wrote 3 good books about his year long stints as a:
- Railroad hobo (Rolling Nowhere)
- Prison Guard (New Jack)
- Illegal Immegrant (Coyotes)
Great author, even if he won't send me an autograph.
