Dang!!! This is the second Cannon Films "Ninja" film question, which I've encountered today!!!

...unmistakenly, this is definately "American Ninja II: The Confrontation", from 1987, and one of the better entries in the series...very fun to watch...action-packed and liberally laced with humor.

Actor Gary Conway, who also wrote the screenplay, exhues a great campy performance as the veritable comic book villain, and of course, Michael Dudikoff and Steve James are back, as the inseperable martial-arts-trained army commandoes, who are thrown amongst a shore-based brigade of marines, on an island suspected of being a training ground, for manufactured and brainwashed ninja soldiers.

...MGM picked this one up for DVD release a few years ago, and put it on a 'flipper' disc, with "American Ninja III" (1989) on the reverse side (dynamic martial arts actioner, with David Bradley as yet another American Ninja).

The Octagon with Chuck Norris. Kinda cheesy coz you get to see some ninjas in orange or yellow ninja suits aside from the usual black color.
