I have a C230 sport coupe. I chose it because it is more fuel efficient (best Mercedes for the environment) and it has the Kompresser (super charger), great for performance. It comes with moon roof and a great stereo system too. Comfort, speed, fuel efficiency and great music are most important to me.

A Benz is an expensive car to buy, and an expensive car to maintain. Before you get it, do some projections on the cost of ownership. Check the cost of regular service, such as oil changes, brake work, etc. I hear stories in my area of oil changes that cost over $100, routinely. Contact your insurance company and ask for a quote to cover this car. Forecast the amount of driving you do, and figure the annual cost of fuel.
Lump all of these together to get the yearly cost, or even for 2 years. You won't hit the number right on the nose, but you can probably do well enough to compare it to another model if you care to do the research.
A Benz is a nice car - if you can afford it and want it, go for it. But go in with your eyes open, or else you're in for an eye-opener when something needs work.

If it were me I would look it over good from top to bottom. Run the motor with the hood open and closed. Drive up and down some hills forward and back. Slowly drive then highway speeds like on the freeway.
And might not hurt to take it to a dealer and let them look it over for you as well to get there opinion.

can you really afford it or are you just getting it for status? if you don't need it, don't get it. even though this is on the lower end of merc, it still need expensive merc maintanence.
