He did. He kept saying it and I wouldn't. One day we were getting off the phone and he said "I love you" and I said "I love you too" and we hung up. I stood there thinking, omg, I just said I love you to him like it was nothing! Omg..I DO love him! He called me right back of course to say "Did you hear what you just said??" This was 19 years ago and we've been married for almost 16 years. We are still very much in love.

My husband was the first to say it. I wasn't prepared and was scared we were moving too fast at the time so I smiled and kissed him and told him I'm not ready to say it yet. He said that was fine but he was absolutely certain he loves me. A couple of months later...I said it back. We still talk about the day when he first said he loved me...and make some jokes about my response and reasons why he said it. That was nearly nine years ago when he said it to me...we're very much still in love, happily married and even have an 11 mos old daughter! I can't imagine loving and being with anyone else!

I'm a woman for starters, I think if I remember right I said it first, we are now married and have been for 4 years next month and we have been together for 8 years all together. If I remember right he told me that he loved me too. Then about 3 months later he proposed to me and we were engaged for 3 and half years before we got married.

I'm a man, and when I told her, I had not planned to. As a matter of fact, I had roses delivered to her office while we went out to lunch so she would have a surprise when she returned. I toiled over the note to try to express myself without saying it, but when we met for lunch, I knew I could not go another second without telling her, and somehow the words just spilled out, I was shaking a little when I told her, and she started to shake a bit as well, and a tear formed in the corner of her eye and she told me she loved me as well, and had been waiting to hear it so she could tell me.
We are still together, and more in love now then ever.

I'm the woman, and I told my now husband that I loved him first. I told him "Dont you dare say it back unless you mean it, that I'm not looking for him to feel the same way, for I can't control his feelings, its just how I feel and wanted to tell him". He smiled and took a deep breath and kinda laughed, took me in his arms and said, I am so glad you said that, because I love you, too, I was just afraid if I said it first and you didnt feel the same way, I'd scare you and you'd run away! Well, we have been married for almost 11 years, with the last year of our marriage being horrible. He had an affair, bla bla bla....and I honestly dont know if we'll make it.

My guy and I were both nervous about saying "I love you" to each other. We ended up telling each other at the same time and are still together a year later.

He did. I felt it but refused to say it first. He said it the same night I was thinking it. And yes, we are still together and still in love. I'm his wife and he's my husband.
