Ivan, LIFE, in a nutshell, is something you put meaning to. Time passed without meaning is just EXISTENCE. Animals exist, but the time they pass have no particular meaning except perhaps to fulfill their base purpose.

Humans, on the other hand, not only have a base purpose, but also a HIGHER PURPOSE. We are capable of LIVING because of our capacity to think and feel. When thoughts and emotions are used for the HIGHER PURPOSE, then we have gained existence with LIFE.

So the true question is not actually "What is the Meaning of Life?" but rather, "What is the Higher Purpose We Need to Achieve in Order to Gain Life?"

The Higher Purpose of Man is to achieve more than what our base existence calls for. Base existence refers to the routine doldrums of life such as working & eating. But a base existence actually has no meaning unless you apply God-inspired thoughts and feelings into it. When this happens, you become a responsible and wise man. People with base existence are neither responsible or wise. If they are, it's never long-term.

Life is being born without a say so, having to work all your life to survive and keep up with everyone eles, have kids to replenish the cycle, and to finially die and find out that it all ment squat when your in the ground.

But in the mean time, live life like you want to, dont worry about others, about haveing more than you need, and be the best you can be.

Enjoy it is better to be in the game still and losing, than not in it anymore.

I can tell you what the meaning of life is in my opinion according to my beliefs--The bible says we are here for the glory of God. To me that means being a good soldier--if you think about it we are all here for a short duration considering eternity. So, why would we be created if not that we have destinies to achieve. We are here for a purpose--each of us--finding our purpose is the adventure--getting close to God helps one to take the correct paths to achieve our destinys--we leave behind what we have done for others--not ourselves--that is what people think of when they think of a loved one who has passed on--many of us go thru trials and tribulations along the way--these are some ways that we learn--perhaps this is why the bible says to rejoice in our trials--I can you leave you with this--Seek ye first the Kingdon of Heaven and all other things will be given to you--the desires of your heart--in putting God first--yoou will find the true meaning of life, in my opinion.
