You really need to bring her to the doctor..it could be many things from esophagus problems to problems with the lungs...

Firstly, this isn't the sort of question anyone without proper medical training can answer. Me included. So, on that note, get to a doctor. Coughing up blood is never good. Not necessarily life threatening but its something that really, really needs to get checked out!
Please get her to a doctor just to get checked out

It could be from prolonged, severe acid reflux or a bleeding ulcer or something more severe.

your mother needs to see a doctor right away. it could be a number of things. the best advice here is to get her some medical attention quickly.
