And then someone comes on here and posts this...

Why is everyone agreeing? She may not be the Hollywood ideal, but she looks like a normal girl- if that's not good enough for the showbiz industry then that's one thing, at least we can all agree Hollywood is overly brutal... but now we're saying she's not good enough for us normal people either?!?!

If we don't stop openly judging women's appearance and weight, to the point of kicking someone when they are already down, then how do we expect the little girls of today's world to grow up thinking about anything other than what they look like and how much they weigh?

It's not about opinion though- You don't have to express every negative opinion you have, not when it's something beyond someone's control and something damaging to them. I just dont think it's right to go around saying people are ugly for all the world to see... If she read that post it would really hurt her, does anyone deserve that? Do people even realise how horrible it feels, as a woman, to be called ugly or fat?

Lindsay, I see what you're saying, but I'm not "morbidly obese". Well, I'm 5'7, size 12, so make of that what you will. In Hollywood I suppose I'd be larger than life. Anyway, what do you think makes fat girls so bitter against the skinny ones? I think they were the ones being judged first.

I don't think Lily Allen is fat or ugly at all, but then I would never think that about another person.

Obviously this is not directed at those of you who have some awareness with regards to how to treat your fellow human beings, but to those of you who have nothing better to do than needlessly slag-off the appearance of someone you don't even know, what the hell is wrong with you?

To those of you who say you are entitled to have your opinions, quite frankly, when it is relating to another person, I don't see why you are entitled to have an opinion at all. you can say a chair or a dress or any inanimate object is ugly but by commenting on the way a person looks is judgemental and cruel.

This is the first time I have ever posted an answer on here and thanks to the narrow-minded, in-sensitivities of so many of you I doubt I'll ever even visit yahoo answers again.

Thankfully there are some civil, decent people in the world, just think what a horrible place it would be if it was filled with only unpleasant people like the ones who voice their poisonous opinions on yahoo answers.

I thought this would be a fat person. Usually when you hear someone complain about judgement over weight, there's a huge morbidly obese person wanting to be treated like anormal person. This girl (who I had not heard of) really is a normal girl. She's healthy, she's pretty. She's not fat at all, although she does obviously weight more than 'hollywood's standard.'

Let me say this though, because it never gets addressed: there is just as much hate FROM the heavier people. I can't count how many bitter b**tchy fat girls who hate on thin, svelte, or just normal girls. It really does go both ways, sorry, but it freaking does. At my work there are more fat girls and one tall modelish girl. The fat girls are nice to her face and talk all kinds of trash behind her back. They are are bi**hes to her and she is nothing but nice to them....they have no reason other than jealousy to be mean and backstabbing to the new girl. Why are they? Because the boys notice the beautiful tall girl and not them. The poor girl is thinking of quitting her new job bc she has heard some of the nasty things said about her.

How about, instead of judging apprearance and all that crap. Why don't people just effing be nice to everyone.....fat, tall, short, skinny. Fat girls stop hating too.

Is it important?

If she thinks she is fat then perhaps she should do something positive about it, and become a good role model for other people in her situation and for once have a celebrity lose weight the 'healthy' way. Oh no, couldn't do that.

Declaring she has spent the last two hours researching gastric bypassing and so on is just ridiculous to the point its hilarious.

I've weighed 18 stone at my fattest, on a 5ft2 it isn't pretty. I now weigh 10 stone, still overweight by the BMI scale but I feel a hell of a lot better in myself.

Exercise can change your outlook, no matter how 'thin' or 'fat' you are.

Err, Miss Allen is indeed FAT. On LDN she's only just managed to squeeze into that dress. Forget the bull about an ''image obsessed society'', if u r a fatty; u r a fatty and Lily needs to shed a few pounds or shed that attitude at least. Time to grow up methinks. Peace out.....

i think it is pathetic the way every woman is meant to be a size 0, we are all different, what is the point putting ourselves at risk to be this size and making ourselves unhappy in the dieting and worry all the time, some woman are naturally small some are naturally big,
i think the fashion industry needs to get a life, they are causing misery to millions of women and young girls
it is about time that the magazines and television stopped putting these people on all the time, they would soon start to put some weight on and become normal instead of obsessed with their skinny ness, i think it is an insult to people that have had no option in the past to look like that due to illness etc.

You right, we should not be so judgemental about everyone, Lily is absolutely not fat and she is not ugly, she might not be a Hollywood beauty, but to all those that agreed with the statement, have you looked in the mirror lately???

It doesn't matter what we all think, she clearly has a distorted body image and nothing we say will change that.

She's not fat but she's not the prettiest flower in the vase.

I think she's quite pretty and definitely not fat and I love her music. I would imagine that she's better looking than a hell of a lot of the people who are slagging her off!

she is not fat at all, but wether it is cruel or not the plain fact is she is ugly, not elephant man style but if she was not famous you would never want anything to do with her. i would say she looks like she has downs syndrome.
