I guess I should be happy with these lists because the schools that my sons went to are all ranked very high. But really, I think these lists are rather silly. You cannot tell whether a student is going to get a good education by looking at this kind of list. They show what the general understanding about the schools is. How highly they are regarded in general. But there are many, many excellent schools that are not listed here at all. There are 300 or 400 small colleges and universities in the USA that are definitely better than some of the top 100 schools listed here, as far as giving a high quality undergraduate education is concerned.
For a better view of the US schools, check the US News rankings of USA schools, or the Princeton Review Top 300 list.
